Sun, Sea, and Serenity
Day 1 – Arrival Day
Welcome to Italy!
You'll be met at the airport by your personal driver and transported to the Amalfi Coast where you will check into your accommodations (Sorrento is another option). The rest of the day and evening are yours to get acclimated and explore on your own. We will provide you with site and restaurant recommendations.
Day 2 - Amalfi Coast Tour
Tour Positano, Amalfi & Ravello
The towns of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello are three of the most beautiful in the south of Italy and have gained worldwide fame for their charm. Your driver will take you on a full day excursion to each of these postcard villages to have a true experience of the southern Italian landscape. You will have the opportunity to see the magnificent gardens of Villa Rufolo or Villa Cimbrone in Ravello, to visit the beautiful Arab-Norman Romanesque style Cathedral of St. Andrews in Amalfi and to stroll the beautiful pedestrian lanes of Positano. Explore the Amalfi Coast at your leisure, as you will have the option to spend as little or as much time in each of these picturesque towns as well as plenty of photo opportunities along the famous Amalfi coast drive.
Day 3 – Private cooking Lesson on a Farm Estate & Historical Sorrento
Your private cooking lesson will be held at a villa in one of the most enchanting and scenic areas featuring incredible views over the hills and sea. The beautiful farm is surrounded by splendid olive groves, lemon trees, aromatic herbs, lavender, sage and rosemary and is completely organic. During your hands-on lesson you will learn, prepare, and eat some of the most popular Italian dishes of the region - classic Mediterranean cuisine. After your lesson and lunch, spend the afternoon in the historical town of Sorrento – here you can wander the streets and shop for inlaid woodwork, cameo & coral jewelry, wine and the local liquor of Limoncello, or perhaps stop for a gelato or aperitivo before returning to your accommodations.
Day 4 - Food-lover’s Excursion
Today is all about sampling the authentic flavors of the region: Limoncello, Olive oil, Mozzarella, Wine… Stopping at mills, lemon groves, a cheese-maker, and a winery, you’ll delve into the framework of the local culinary traditions, finding fresh ingredients at their source, learning how they are made, and discovering their heritage in the Southern Italian kitchen. For lunch you will meet up with a local “pizzaiolo” to have a hands-on lesson and learn how to make the best authentic pizza!
Day 5 – Pompeii and Lunch Amongst the Vineyards
You’ll step back in time to 79AD as your private guide recounts the life and history of Pompeii and its citizens. You will then learn of the events that lead up to that tragic day when it was buried under ash following the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. Rediscovered in 1749, excavations have provided an extraordinarily detailed insight into the life of a city at the height of the Roman Empire. Today, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most popular tourist attractions of Italy. After your tour, you will head off to a local winery where an expert guide will lead you through the vineyards and wine cellar, pointing out the grape varieties and cultivation methods used on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius. This will be followed by a relaxing wine tasting lunch, set on a beautiful terrace overlooking the Mediterranean.
Day 6 – Private Boating Adventure Along the Amalfi Coast
On this private boat excursion you will travel slowly along the lovely Amalfi coast stopping at the most attractive bays for a swim, and admiring all the inlets and grottos some of which are only accessible by swimming. We’ll provide you with recommendations for a lunch stop along the shore. For your comfort, the boat is equipped with beverages, cabin, toilet and shower. You have the entire day to just relax, swim, and enjoy the sun and sea.
Day 7 – Departure Day
Options & Add-ons
Magically suspended between the blue sky and the iridescent colored sea, the Amalfi coast seems to be born from the palette of a painter who wanted to use the warmer color gradients for creating a landscape that enchants the visitor at the first shot, giving thrilling experience and such evocative view to doubt, for a moment, it is real. It is the land where the sweet scent of lemon blossoms harmonizes itself with the most aromatic one of the Mediterranean vegetation and the acrid aroma of saltiness; where the brilliant colors of the majolica domes, bougainvillea and carnations pergolas give an evident colored touch to the typical whitewashed houses, clinging to the last offshoots of the Lattari Mounts that plunge dramatically into the sea. A vertical landscape, in short, characterized by a picturesque labyrinth of stairways and narrow alleys, connecting the two main elements of this landscape: the mountains and the sea.
